Calendar states identify the different types of working periods required to run your business. For example, Off Shift, On Shift, Breakdown and Overtime.
Open: Graphical Planner >Workspace > General > Generate Schedule >View > Calendars > Calendar States.
Double-click an empty record or choose Edit > New Calendar State.
The Calendar State window appears.
Select the display Color of the state.
This colour appears in the sequencer if calendars are switched on.
Enter an Efficiency percentage value.
This applies an efficiency rating to the calendar state.
For example, the normal efficiency figure is set to 100% and all other states should be assigned a percentage in relation to this shift.
If the state is less efficient, the percentage is reduced. In this situation, the job is extended accordingly. If the state is more efficient, the percentage is increased, and the job is shortened accordingly.
Note: Any reduction from 100% will reduce capacity.
Enter a Cost Factor percentage value.
This applies a cost rating to the calendar state.
The normal cost figure is 100%. However, costs are defined per hour for resources. These can be multiplied for shift and overtime variations, for example.
