Note: The View Operations Settings option allows you to view the settings but not amend them.
Numbers determine the sequence in which resources are used in an operation. The resources used in the operation are specified on the operation Resources tab.
The default pattern for the step numbers is set here.
By default, numbers are set in ascending numerical order, starting from 5.00 and increasing in intervals of 5.00 (e.g. 5.00, 10.00, 15.00, 20.00, and so on). By default, reordering the sequence of resources in the operation is done using the Step No.
You can use the settings to specify a different start number and a different interval number. You can also choose to reorder the sequence of resources in the operation using the resource Reference instead of the Step No.
Resources are always sorted by Phase. Phases are sorted into Setup phase, Runtime phase and then Teardown phase. In each phase, resources are sorted by Step No. or by Reference. This is set up in the operations settings.
