Copying tool resources

You can create a resource from an existing tool resource.

The new resource will hold the details of the original resource. Amend the details for the new resource.

To copy tool resources

1. Use one of the following ways to open the Duplicate Tool Resource window:
• Click Duplicate when adding a tool resource.
• Choose Manufacturing System Manager > Tool Register > Records > Copy Tool Resource.
• Choose Manufacturing System Manager > Tool Register > Tool Register List.

Without selecting a tool resource in the list, click Copy.

2. Select the Reference of the tool resource that you want to copy from the Reference drop-down list.
3. Select Copy Attachments if you want to copy the tool resource attachments.

4. Click OK.

   The tool resource details are displayed in the New Tool Resource Record window.

5. Enter a new Reference and amend the tool resource details as required.

   Note: The new reference must be unique.

6. Click Save.
