You can lock and unlock operations contained on the sequencer for a certain time period. This means you can maintain a fixed plan for a period of time and then add to it. For example, you may have a plan that is locked and then bring more demand across from Manufacturing that requires scheduling.
For example, you can leave a week locked on the Overview window, and save the scheduleThe name of the default schedule file. It also refers to the production schedule represented by the sequencer Overview window in Graphical Planner.. You can then unlock the week so you can reschedule a larger amount of orders.
By default, if any operations have started, they are locked and cannot be unscheduled. However, you can unlock and unschedule them if you:
Select what you want to do:
Open: File > Open.
The schedule appears in the sequencer.
Open: View > Calendar Display Mode > Hide Calendar.
The calendar view is removed from the Overview window.
Open: View > Edit Mode > Calendar Edit Mode.
The watch symbol appears with the cursor in the Sequence Overview.
The locked area is highlighted in grey.
All operations are locked for that resource.
Note: Locking prevents the system from unscheduling or moving an operation during a repair. You can still move the locked operation manually if required. If the manual movement conflicts with another operation, a message appears asking you to confirm the change.
