Maintaining BOM comment lines
You can add or edit BOM comment lines and choose to include the comments in the BOM explosion view report or on a picking list, if required.
Note:
You cannot print comment lines on the standard picking list issued by Sage. You can create your own picking list layout to include comments, using Report Designer if required. You cannot print comment lines if you are printing consolidated picking lists.
What do you want to do?
Add a comment line

In the BOM Components tab, or the BOM Operations tab, select a new line, click 
in the Add button and select Add Comment.
The Comment Line window appears.
- Enter the comment.

To show the comment line in enquiries/reports, select Show Comment Line in Enquiries/Reports.
This applies in:
- The BOM explosion view.

When you print a picking list, if you have designed a picking list layout to include comments.
Note: You cannot print comment lines if you are printing consolidated picking lists.
- Click OK to return to the BOM Components or BOM Operations tab.
Edit a comment line

In the BOM Components tab, or the BOM Operations tab, select an existing comment line and click Edit.
The Comment Line window appears.
- Edit the comment.

To show the comment line in enquiries/reports, select Show Comment Line in Enquiries/Reports.
This applies in:
- The BOM explosion view.

When you print a picking list, if you have designed a picking list layout to include comments.

- Click OK to return to the BOM Components or BOM Operations tab.
