Customer delivery addresses

If you have customers who want the goods delivered to different addresses than the address on the invoice then you can store and maintain delivery addresses that you use repeatedly. This will speed up the sales order process.

There is no limit to the number of delivery addresses you can store for a customer.

You can also create a new delivery address for the customer whilst entering an order, if you need to. You can choose to have a default delivery address. This can be changed when entering an order.

Note: Amending delivery addresses has no impact on outstanding orders. You can delete a delivery address even if it is the default delivery address for the customer. A warning is issued and if you proceed, the default delivery address will be set instead to the customer invoice address.

To maintain customer delivery addresses

Open: Sales Order Processing > SOP Maintenance > Customer Delivery Addresses.

To add or edit customer delivery addresses
  1. Select the customer, using the A/C ref (account reference) list.

  2. Click Add or select a delivery address and click Edit.

  3. Enter a unique description for the delivery address.

    Note: You cannot create a delivery address without a delivery address description.

  4. Enter a delivery postal name.
  5. Enter the delivery address lines.
  6. Enter the post code.
  7. Enter the delivery contact name.
  8. Enter the telephone number.
  9. Enter the fax number.
  10. Enter the e-mail address.

  11. Enter the tax registration number for the delivery address, or leave it blank.

    The default setting is taken from the customer's account stored on the Sales Ledger. For example, you can amend this here if you need to deliver to a different country for the customer.

  12. Select the tax code.

    The default delivery address tax code is taken from the customer's account stored on the Sales Ledger. For example, you can amend this here if you need to deliver to a different country for the customer.

  13. Select the country code.

    The default delivery address country code is taken from the customer's account stored on the Sales Ledger. For example, you can amend this here if you need to deliver to a different country for the customer.

  14. Click OK to save the information.
To set delivery address default
  1. Select the customer delivery address.
  2. Click Set as Default.

Note: You can change default by selecting the default delivery address and clicking Remove Default, or by selecting another delivery address and clicking Set as Default. The second method applies the Remove to the first delivery address and the Set as Default to the second delivery address.

To delete a delivery address
  1. Select the delivery address to delete.

  2. Click Delete.
