Record return of free text and labour/service items
Use Confirm Service and Free Items For Credit to record the separate receipt of free text and service/labour items.
Outcomes
- The returned quantity is updated for the return line. Entries are added to the despatch history of the return lines.
- If you have chosen to update stock records on despatch on the SOP settings Order Processing tab and to keep a movement history on the stock item product group Details tab, new entries are added to the movement history.
Before you begin
- You must have selected Confirm as Service/Free Text for Order line despatching, in the SOP settings Order Processing tab.
To record receipt of free text and labour/service items
Open: Sales Order Processing > Order Processing > Confirm Services and Free Text Items > Confirm Services/Free Text Items For Credit.
- Select the returns that you want to confirm as received, using the Select items to receive options.
- Click Display. The returns matching the criteria are displayed. If there is more than one return, select the relevant returns and click OK.
- Enter the Delivery date. This defaults to the system date. This date is used to record the movement history.
- Select a return line and record the amount returned in the Qty to Return column.
- Click Save to confirm that you have completed your changes.
