Create search categories

Use this activity to create the search categories that will be used to search for stock items in Purchase Order Processing, Sales Order Processing as well as the Stock Control module.

To create search categories

Open: Stock Control > Stock Maintenance > Search Categories.

1. Click Add. The Add Search Category window is displayed.
2. Enter a unique name for the search category in the Category name box.

3. To add a value for the search category, select a blank row in the Category value box and enter the value.

   If a search category does not have any associated values, it will not be displayed in the product group.

4. Click OK.
