A core component is a package that describes the core features of Sage 200 and are essential for your Sage 200 system.
Core components are installed on the serverThe server is the computer running the Sage 200 Server software. The server provides information over the network to computers running the Sage 200 Client software. and may be updated when you update your system.
When you log on to Sage 200 System Administration, if newly added core components are found on the server, these are installed automatically.
If you are working within System Administration and new core components are installed on the server, you can install the core component manually. If an upgrade to a core component is installed on the server, you can upgrade the core component manually.
After installing core components you must make sure users can access any new featureA feature is a name for an action that you can perform in Sage 200; e.g. Enter New Supplier Account, describes the action of adding a supplier account within Sage 200 Purchase Ledger.. This is done by authorising the added features through the Features or Roles options.
