If you want to offer different sales prices to different customers, set up price bands, item prices (within the bands), and then select the customers which belong to each band.
Open: Price Book > Price Bands > Maintain Price Bands.
If you have not set up price bands before, the only price band in the list is the Standard price band. It uses base currency and has a value of 0 (zero). Customers are automatically linked to the standard price band unless you link them to another price band.
Note: You must add prices to the standard price band before adding other price bands.
Note: Currencies are defined in Accounting System Manager.
When you set up price bands, you can decide whether or not you want prices in other price bands to change automatically to reflect changes in prices in the standard group. This can make maintenance easier as you only need to make the changes once to your standard price group.
Note: Each stock item that you have has a price associated with it. Using any of these options does not prevent you changing prices subsequently.
Note: Any customers linked to the price band you have deleted are linked to the standard price band again.
Open: Price Book > Price Bands > Maintain Price Bands.
Open: Price Book > Price Bands > Link Customers to Price Band.
Tip: To select more than one item using the mouse, hold down the Ctrl key to pick individual items, or hold down the Shift key to select a block of items.
If a customer is linked to another price band, confirm that you want to link the customer to this price band instead.
