Before using Sage 200 you must enter your company details.
A company is identified in Sage 200 by its name. Sage 200 stores separate company details for each company that you create.
If you are working with multiple companies, you can consolidate your company accounts.
Enter information about your company, such as your tax registration number and company contact details here.
Open: Accounting System Manager > Settings > Company Details.
Enter the company details and tax related trading information.
Enter your company name, address and contact details.
Your company name appears on reports and at the top of the Sage 200 window.
To enter information in the City, County and Country boxes, you must have selected to Use Segmented addresses in the Operational Settings.
Select the Country code from the drop-down list.
If the company's home country is a member of the European Community, select its country codeEC countries each have a specific code to identify accounts that belong to that country. Trading with these companies has implications for VAT processing, which is described in the Accounting System Manager documentation..
This is required for EC VAT calculations.
If your company is registered for VAT, enter a Tax registration no.
You must enter the Tax registration no. for your company here because of a requirement to print this on all invoices. This is especially important if you deal with companies in other EC member states.
