You enter the details of a prospect quotation in the same way as you would enter a normal quotation in Sage 200. The only difference is that, as there is no customer account, you must enter a postal address for the quotation.
You must first create a generic customer account in the Sales Ledger for all your prospect quotations. You then specify this as the Prospect account in the SOP settings Default Accounts tab.
This information is held on the system until the quotation is accepted by the customer. You can then convert the quotation to a sales order. This creates a new account for the customer in the Sales Ledger.
There are two ways of creating a prospect quotation:
Open: Sales Order Processing > Quotations > Enter New Quotation for Prospect.
Open: Sales Order Processing > Quotations > Enter New Quotation and select Prospect account.
