Set user properties

To set user properties

Open: System Administration > Users.

  1. Right-click the System Name and choose Properties.
  2. Select User Enabled if you want to make the user account active.

    Note: You cannot enable a user if the user has been deleted in Windows (On Premise deployment), or in Sage ERP Online Services (Sage 200 Online).

    The user account can only be used to log on to Sage 200 if it is active.

  3. Select Can Edit Menus For Roles if you want the user to edit menus using the Menu Design Mode in the Sage 200 desktop. The user can edit menus for their roles in the menu design modeAn area of the desktop where you can create and edit custom menus..
  4. Select Can Edit Workspaces if you want the user to edit workspaces using the Workspace Designer in the Sage 200 desktop. The user can edit a workspaceAn area on your Sage 200 desktop which can contain several panels of information from Sage 200 modules. for each roleA role describes the areas in which users will work normally, e.g. purchase clerk. Roles provide users with access to system features. they are assigned to using the Workspace DesignerA feature that lets you create and edit workspaces (customised views of Sage 200 information)..
  5. Select Receive Notifications by Email if you want to the user to receive email messages when purchase orders require authorisation in Sage 200. You must also enter the user's email address on the User Details tab.
  6. If you don't want the online survey message to be displayed for this user, clear the In Product Survey Enabled check box.

    Note: If you want to disable the online survey message for all users, select Disable In Product Survey in the work area.

  7. Select Is Web User if you want this user to have access to the Sage 200 Self Service application. This allows you to access workspaces, web timesheets and expenses (WTE) and authorise purchase orders via a browser.
  8. Click OK to confirm the General properties.
