To set up a direct debit or standing order, both your Cash Book bank account and the trader or nominal account must operate in your base currency.

You cannot set up direct debits or standing orders for foreign currency trader accounts.
Note: You cannot set up a direct debit or standing order if the supplier or customer account status is on hold. If however you already have set up a standing order or direct debit on a trader account and then put the trader account on hold, the recurring postings continue to be made to the account while it is on hold.
