BOM records can belong to Bill of Material groups.
Adding BOM records to groups can assist your processing speed. For example, if you regularly calculate a schedule for a line or department, you can add the BOMs to a group. When you need to recalculate, recalculate the group instead of the individual BOMs.
The Bill of Materials Groups window is where you set up groups. You can set up as many groups as you require. BOM records can belong to more than one group.
Note: You cannot delete or retire a BOM if it is a member of a group.
Open: Bill of Materials > Records > Bill of Materials Groups.
The Add New Bill of Materials Group window appears.
To edit a group, select the Reference and click Edit.
The Edit Bill of Materials Group Details window appears.
