Import settings - v2013 and later
If you have exported settings (users, roles and features) from one v2013 or later deployment, use Import settings to import the settings into another v2013 or later deployment.
You import the export file completely so all the information that was included in the export file is imported.
- Users and user authentication are created in Windows for On Premise deployments and in Sage ERP Online Services for Sage 200 Online. However, the import of user information will set up in the new system a new user record for each user record in the import file.
Note: User passwords are not exported and so are not imported.
- If roles are imported, a new role record is created for each role record in the import file. User to role mappings will be established by the import of roles.
- If features and roles are imported, feature to role mappings are created in the new system.
Note: Each feature and feature target GUID must be unique and a feature and feature target will only be imported if there is not already a matching GUID in the new deployment.
To import administration information
Open: System Administration.
- Right-click on Sage 200 SA.
- Select Import settings.
- To import, click OK.
- Browse to the XML file location, select it and click OK.
- Once the import is complete, select Action > Refresh.
The data in System Administration is refreshed and you can view the data you have imported.
