Manage resource filtering

You can use resource filtering to choose which resources can enter timesheets and expense claims on behalf of other resources.

Note: A resource can always enter their own timesheets and expense claims.

You can specify which resources can enter timesheets and expenses for each other. You can do this using the Manage Resource Filtering window or via the resource record.

You set up two lists of resources:

Once you have saved a list for one resource, the resource lists of the other resources are also updated. For example, Bill can enter timesheets and expense claims for Ian. You add Ian to Bill's Can enter for list. Once saved, Bill is automatically added to Ian's Can be entered by list.

To activate resource filtering, you must:

Open: Project Accounting > Project Maintenance > Manage Resource Filtering.

  1. Select the resource from the Name drop-down list.
  2. Select the Can enter for tab.

  3. Select the Can Be Entered By tab.
  4. Click Save to confirm.
