Budget profiles are used to apportion a yearly budget across your accounting periods.
Note: This applies only to the current year. You cannot enter budget profiles for future years.
You can use a budget profile to take known seasonal or market trends into account. You can weight certain periods more than others by entering an appropriate percentage of the annual budget in each of the period boxes.
You can have three budget profiles.
When you create your nominal accounts you can choose to use one of the budget profiles as the Budget Type. The other budget types are monthly, group or annual. Budget profiles match the accounting periods specified for the financial year. Typically the year will be split into 12 periods.
