Export Manufacturing data

You can export certain types of data from Manufacturing in CSVComma Separated Value (CSV) file format. Sage 200 can import and export data in the CSV file format.or XMLExtensible Markup Language (XML) file format. Sage 200 can import and export data in the XML file format. file formats.

You can export some Manufacturing data (employees, expense types, labour categories, make to stock items, non-chargeable time), using Manufacturing System Manager > System Utilities. You can export other Manufacturing data (drawings, operations, labour, machine and tool resources), using the Utilities section within those individual modules.

To export Employees, Expenses, Categories, Make to Stock items, Non-chargeable Time

Open: Manufacturing System Manager > System Utilities > Export.

  1. In the Export window, select the Type of Information to Export.

    2. This is Employees, Expense Types, Labour Categories, Non-chargeable Time.

  2. Select Data to Export.

    3. By default, Export all records is selected. To export a selection of records, clear the check box and use the From and To boxes provided.

  3. Select the Fields to Export in one of the following ways:
    • Click > to select the highlighted fields.
    • Click >> to select all the fields.
    • Click Default to select the default fields required. This also arranges the fields in the correct order.

  4. Enter the Export File destination path and filename.

    Tip: You can use Browse to locate the destination.

  5. Click Run to begin the export.

    A confirmation prompt appears.

  6. To confirm that you want to export the data specified, click Yes.

    The data is exported.

To export drawings, operations, labour, machine and tool resources

Note: Some modules - Labour, Machine and Tool Registers - will have more options than others, for example, to export both resources and resource groups.

Open: Manufacturing System Manager > [Module] > Utilities.

  1. Select the items that you want to export.

  2. Click Export.

    The Save As window appears.

  3. Select the location and enter the name of the export file.

  4. Click Save.

    When the export process finishes, an Export Complete window identifies:

    • The number of records that were successfully exported.
  5. Click OK.
