Maintaining tax & NI bands and rates

To ensure your payroll is calculated correctly, your software uses the legislative tax and national insurance (NI) bands and rates for the current tax year. This information is specified by HMRC. If the Government changes this information, you can update your software to use the new legislation.

You can:

Check the details of the existing tax and NI bands and rates.
Add a new set of bands and rates, and specify the date that they're applied to your software.
Set up your software to obtain the most up-to-date legislation directly from the Sage website whenever there are changes. Find out more.

Getting started

Company > Legislation.

The Legislation Settings window appears displaying the PAYE tab. To check the NI legislation > NI Bands & Rates.
