Sage 50 Accounts Project Costing provides the features you need to maintain accurate details about projects, and helps you to track and evaluate the costs incurred. Understanding a project's costs helps you manage projects more efficiently, make them more cost effective and to determine your most profitable types of project.
Using Project Costing, you can enter and monitor all of the costs associated with each project. This means you know exactly how much it costs your business to complete a project, and how much to charge your customer to ensure that your business makes a profit. You can also avoid costly overruns by tracking expenditure.
You can also use project costing to track non-profitable or in-house projects.
Projects is only available if you select Enable Project Costing in Settings > Company Preferences > Parameters. You can then access the Projects module from Modules > Projects.
To help you manage and maintain your projects, this window gives you quick and easy access to all of the project options.
