Style

The Style drop-down has the following options:

Value:
Displays the information returned through the variable or expression as a
number. This is the setting applied when a variable or expression is added
to your report.
Value formatting options
Part |
You can display the Whole number or just part of it; such as Decimal values (after the point), Thousands or Millions. |
Format |
You can set the format of the number, such as the positioning of the currency symbol or negative (-) sign. |
Max decimals |
Set the maximum number of decimal places to display.
If you select Default, the value will be taken from your Herb software, where appropriate. For example, if you are working with a stock item, the number of decimal places displayed for the quantity or price would be taken from the product's settings.

Min decimals |
Set the minimum number of decimal places to display; use As Max to use the same setting as Max decimals. |
Show as currency |
Display a currency symbol. The position of the currency symbol is set using Format. |
Use custom currency formatting |
Enable this setting to enter your own currency symbol. To edit the formatting, click Edit.
Note: This does not perform any currency conversion calculations, the value will remain the same.

Use custom thousand separator |
Enable this option to use your own symbol for a thousands separator, then click Edit to set the symbol. By default, a comma (,) is used as the thousands separator; for example, 1,000,000. |
Suppress if zero |
If you enable this setting, zero (0) values will not be displayed in the report. |
Suppress if not a number (div by zero) |
If you enable this setting, values that do not result in a number will not be displayed in the report; for example, dividing 1/0. Otherwise "Nan" (not a number) will be displayed. |
Show DR/CR for negative numbers |
Display prefixes of DR (debit) for positive values, and CR (credit) for negative values. |
Display leading zero |
Enable this setting to display the leading zero before a decimal point, for example "0.5". |
Preview |
You can check how your formatting changes will be displayed by entering a Value in the Preview section. |

Words: This
option spells out the value in words; for example, 100 is displayed as "one hundred".
Words formatting options
Part |
You can display the Whole number or just part of it; such as Decimal values (after the point), Thousands or Millions. |
Case |
Set the case of the words; for example, "fifty two" (Lower case), "FIFTY TWO" (Upper case), "Fifty Two" (Proper case). |
Negative prefix |
Set the prefix for negative values; the default is "Minus". |
Display decimal part as digits |
Enable this setting to display numbers after the decimal point as digits; for example, 0.75 will be "Zero and 75". |
Display spaces between words |
Enable this to include spaces between each word. |
Show as currency |
Express the value as a currency; for example, display 10 as "Ten pounds". |
Use custom currency names |
Enable this setting to enter your own currency names. To edit the formatting, click Edit, and enter names for the major and minor units; such as pounds and pence, or dollars and cents.

Yes/No:
Displays the information returned through the variable or expression as Y
(true) or N (false). You can change set the character or word to be displayed when the values are true and false.
Yes/No formatting options
Part |
Select the part of the value that will be used to evaluate the True/False result. You use the evaluate the Whole number or just part of it; such as Decimal values (after the point), Thousands or Millions.
For example, if the value is 50; setting Part to Tens would result in True (for the value 5), and setting Part to Ones would result in False (for the value 0).

The letter or words to display if the result is True. |
"False" display |
The letter or words to display if the result is False. |
Suppress if zero |
If you enable this setting, zero (0) values will not be displayed in the report. |
