Your software contains the minimum wage bandwidths and rates, including the rate for apprentices, that are effective at the start of the tax year. If the Government changes this information, you can update your software to use the new bandwidths and rates. This ensures that those who qualify for the minimum wage are paid the correct amount.

Is your employee an apprentice?

If you currently employ an apprentice, or take on a new employee under an apprenticeship scheme, you should indicate this as their employment status to ensure they're paid using the correct rate:

Refer to the National Minimum Wage rates page on the GOV.UK website.

After checking the current legislation, you may need to make adjustments in your software.

Company > Legislation > Minimum Wage > make any changes necessary > OK.
