Your software contains the minimum wage bandwidths and rates, including the rate for apprentices, that are effective at the start of the tax year. If the Government changes this information, you can update your software to use the new bandwidths and rates. This ensures that those who qualify for the minimum wage are paid the correct amount.
If you currently employ an apprentice, or take on a new employee under an apprenticeship scheme, you should indicate this as their employment status to ensure they're paid using the correct rate:
