The Select Company window lists all companies that are currently available to open. It is used to manage multiple companies and contains functions for adding and removing companies.
Practice data and Demonstration data are also available from the list and you can access them with the username manager. They are useful for learning new software features or testing scenarios without changing your live data.
Your last used company is automatically selected when the window appears. To open a company, select it from the list and click OK.
The company list can be accessed from within an open company by browsing to File > Open > Open Company Data.

Displays the name of the relevant company. |

Version |
Displays the version of the software the data was last used in. |

VAT registration |
Displays the VAT number for the relevant company |

Financial year |
Displays the current financial year start date for your company. |

Data path |
Displays the location of the data files. |

Hide company list on start up |
If you only use one company, you can hide this window by selecting this check box. |

Add Company |
Opens the ActiveSetup wizard for adding a company to the list or creating a new company. |

Remove Company |
Removes the company from the list. |
|
Print List |
Prints the information from the Select Company window. |

Open Folder Location |
Opens the folder location of the company that is selected in the list. |
