The Configuration Editor

You can use the configuration editor to set up many of the details you need when configuring your accounts software. Do it once, here, and save yourself lots of time as you continue to work with your accounts.

The editor is especially useful if you are setting up multiple companies with the same basic information.

Your software holds settings for the UK and Republic of Ireland. If your computer's Regional Settings are set to English (United Kingdom), the Configuration Editor loads the UK templates.

If the Regional Settings are set to English (Irish), the Configuration Editor offers you the templates localised for the Republic of Ireland. This affects the default tax codes used in the editor.

If your Regional Settings are set to anything other than English (United Kingdom) or English (Irish), your software attempts to locate localised configuration files for that region, if file cannot be located, the UK settings are used by default.

To open the Configuration Editor go to Settings > Configuration.
