To help you make vital business decisions, you can see a summary of your current financial position using a balance sheet report.
A balance sheet shows what your organisation owns - your assets, and what it owes - your liabilities, and what form the money is in, for example, motor vehicles or property, bank accounts, debtors, creditors, cash accounts, and so on. The difference between the assets and the liabilities is often known as a company’s net assets, or net worth. The balance sheet also shows the company's sources of capital, such as capital introduced by the owner, directors’ loans, and funds retained from previous years' profit after tax.
The structure of the balance sheet is based on the Chart of Accounts that you choose when you run the report. You can customise the Chart of Accounts structure or create new ones to suit your business needs. Find out more
