You can store notes on the customer record, such as the last time you contacted them,using the Memo tab.
Customers > double-click the record you want to work with > Memo tab.

You can use the options in this tab to:
Add electronic files, such as letters or emails you have received from the customer. Or record the location of where a paper document is stored.
